2. Karain Cave: This spooky mountain cave North of Antalya was hot property in Neanderthal times. Spacious, sheltered and with food and water sources nearby, it made an ideal home for people as far back as 30.000 years ago. Composed of three caverns, each filled with stalactites and stalagmites, it is eerie, to say the least.

3. Olympos: Situated just inland from a beautiful and unspoilt beach are the ruins of the ancient city of Olympos with baths, temple, a Roman theatre and necropolis delightfully hiding in the undergrowth of oleanders, wild figs and pines; all adding to the sense that this ancient city has just been rediscovered.

4. Manavgat & Kursunlu Falls: Venture North of Antalya and you will find the waterfalls of Kursunlu. Formed by merging mountain streams, they flow over a greenery-covered cliff into a rock pool.

5. Alanya Castle: Set above the harbour town of Alanya, this Medieval castle is surrounded by six-kilometre-long walls, which wind down the hill and wrap their way around Alanya`s old town. Today, the town is like an open-air museum.
